Dear Mr. Commissioner,

I am writing to you because I am aware of the fight against steroids. One of my favorite things to do is watch a good Yankees game, but steroids have made baseball less fun.

The first reason steroids are bad is that they make people mean. The people who use steroids could get into a fight. I am sure you have seen a batter get in a fight with a pitcher. Chris Benoit killed his family and committed suicide. They believe that steroids were the reason he killed his family. Steroids are bad.

Second, steroids can hurt you. They mess with your mind. You could go to jail. Richard Carmona and lots of other people have said if kids are seeing their role models using performance enhancing drugs they are more susceptible to use steroids. Steroids can hurt you.

Lastly many of MLB players have used steroids.  Barry Bonds used steroids to help him beat the record for home runs. Now he might have to go to jail. Jason Giambi was in court for a long time but now he plays for the Athletics. A-Rod used steroids, but he is still playing. I think players who use steroids should be given a second chance, but if they blow it, they should be kicked out.

Baseball season has just started and I hope no one uses steroids in this season. I hope this story has persuaded you to give the players a second chance. I am looking forward to a good season. Tell your players millions of kids like me are watching and looking up to them.

Absolutely stunning!!! One of the best books I've ever read! It might start out slow but by the middle I was hooked. In the town of Cedarville, Griffin plans a sleep over when he finds something that he can't believe. It will change his life forever. This would be a good book for 10 year old to teenager. But this book is also for adults too. This is a great book I hope you read it someday.  

           What it means to be in my reading zone. First I have to get comfortable in my chair. I remind myself what have been reading and I think of the  big idea as I read.
