Pursuasive Letter

Dear Father and Mother,

l I am writing to you because I want to persuade you to buy both Amber and me both a new cell phone. I love you very much and you are the BEST parents in the world!!  I always use both of your cell phones so this would be a good idea.  Here's why.......

First of all Amber would get one too so she would be very happy.  We would not fight ever again, I promise!! Also, we would not have to fight over the same phone either. I think I heard you two talking that it would only be about $10.00 more a month for another phone. Amber would be very happy.

Second, I would only use it in emergencies.  It seems as though I have had a few.  Like the one time in basketball when Grandma didn't know where to pick me up at and then I was late, so then I had to call you from the office phone at the middle school because Grandma was in Hospers.  Or the time with soccer, when no one was there to pick me up because you two each thought the other was picking me up.  I could have called someone.  Or how about the time when dad dropped me off at the wrong bank for 4H and I had to run to the library and call him.  It would have been much quicker if I had a cell phone and I could have called him right away. I promise I would only use it in emergencies.  It would not have to be a really nice one only one that flips up and down.

Next, the phones would be on your plan and you would not have to get another plan.  I would pay a quarter of it.  I would like unlimited text and then you could have that too. Maybe you two could get new phones, too and then you would have Internet like Aunt Julie.  You could Google directions when we go places so we would know the way and we wouldn't get lost.  Sometimes when we get lost we end up in Nebraska.  So the phone would be on your plan.

So, I think you should really consider buying me a cell phone.  Amber would get one too so she would be happy,  I would have it to use in emergencies, and it would be on your plan.  If you do decide to buy me a cell phone you will be the best parents in the whole world!

Sincerily,
